BEL was founded in 1964, when its founders, Evan Bampi and Bruno Libori, decided to build on their commercial expertise in the distribution sector by developing and supplying products and equipment for packaging, product promotion and labelling.
Over the years, BEL has become synonymous with expertise, flexibility and quality. The company has earned the trust of leading national and international businesses, many of which continue to be loyal customers to this day.
Our History
By the end of the 1960s, as self-adhesive labels became increasingly popular in the distribution, logistics and industrial sectors, BEL invested in its first machines for the production of self-adhesive roll labels. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, labels became the company’s core business.
In 1989, a new production facility with 2,500 m² of covered space was built in the Bozen South industrial area, on Kravogl Street. Between the late 1980s and the early 1990s, the second generation of the founding families joined the company: Mauro Bampi, Nicoletta Libori and Michele Libori. Evan Bampi passed away in 1995, followed by Bruno Libori in 2014.
BEL continued to strengthen its reputation as an innovative company, both in manufacturing and in business management. In 1999, the company implemented SAP, which went live on 1 January 2000.
As the company continued to grow, the need for larger premises became increasingly evident. In 2005, BEL moved to its current headquarters on Zuegg Street, a modern production facility with 10,000 m² of covered space. In 2011, a 90 kWp photovoltaic system was installed on the building and was expanded to 280 kWp in June 2026.
In 2023, BEL introduced digital printing, further expanding its production capabilities.

That is why, in recent years, the company has launched a wide range of initiatives to support employee well-being, enhance customer satisfaction and invest in the next generation of talent.
This commitment is reflected in initiatives such as the launch of the proprietary Easy LaBEL System, the renovation of shared spaces to encourage collaboration and social interaction, the reduction of waste, the continuous development of the CRM system, enhanced cybersecurity measures, partnerships with higher technical education institutes (ITS), and the achievement of internationally recognised certifications, including SGS FSC and CSQA BRC. In addition, BEL manages quality in accordance with HACCP principles, which have been continuously refined over the years, and remains up to date with the latest packaging regulations.
All these initiatives are driven by a commitment to continuously improving the way BEL operates, enabling the company to deliver an increasingly efficient, reliable and customer-focused service that consistently exceeds expectations.
